How Many Eagles Are in the Hall of Fame?
While there are many Hall of Famers that spent time with the Eagles, 12 of them spent a significant part of their careers in the City of Brotherly Love. Some may consider Terrell Owens and Cris Carter as Hall of Famers for the Eagles, but they spent just a small part of their overall careers in Philadelphia.
Although Owens had a controversial tenure with the team, he was only in Philadelphia for two seasons. Carter, meanwhile, was selected by the Eagles in the fourth round of the 1987 supplemental draft. However, due to his off-field issues and relationship with head coach Buddy Ryan, he only lasted a few seasons in Philadelphia.

A dominant force on Philadelphia’s terrifying defense, “Weapon X” lived up to his nickname on the field. Dawkins was named a first-team All-Pro four times in his career with the Eagles, and his jersey is hanging in the rafters at Lincoln Financial Field.
Reggie White is likely the next player on the list behind Dawkins as a notable Hall of Famer for Philadelphia. White’s No. 92 is retired by the Eagles, and his jersey is still worn by many fans on game day. He was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year in Philadelphia and named a first-team All-Pro six times as well.
The craziest part about White’s journey in Philadelphia is that his original contract with the team was a four-year deal worth just $1.85 million. Now that’s the definition of a steal!
Steve Van Buren, Chuck Bednarik, and Earle “Greasy” Neale were all together for a few years in Philadelphia. Neale and Van Buren were part of back-to-back championship teams, as the Eagles won the NFL Championship in 1948 and 1949.
Bednarik was part of that championship team in 1949 and also went on to help Philadelphia win the NFL Championship in 1960. The man that they called “Concrete Charlie” is responsible for arguably the most iconic photo in Eagles’ history.
